Privacy, without the fine-print maze.
Break Even is designed to play without advertising, analytics, tracking, or an account operated by us. Completed-run progress can synchronize through your private iCloud database when you are signed into iCloud.
Information we collect
When you are signed into iCloud, Break Even stores gameplay content consisting of completed-run records and earned theme unlocks in your private CloudKit database. This information is linked to your iCloud account and is used only to provide app functionality across your devices. It is not used for analytics, advertising, marketing, or tracking.
Break Even does not collect your name, email address, advertising identifier, precise location, contacts, health data, payment information, photos, or audio.
Your iCloud choices
You can play without iCloud synchronization. If you do not use iCloud with Break Even, gameplay progress remains on the device where it was created. You can manage or delete Break Even's private iCloud data through your Apple Account's iCloud storage settings. Because the database belongs to your iCloud account and is private, we cannot view, export, or delete those records for you.
Information stored on your device and in iCloud
Break Even stores settings, your selected theme and music, celebration choices, custom table photos, and pending score submissions locally using Apple's on-device storage. Completed-run records can be stored in your private CloudKit database so career progress, Daily Deal results, and personal statistics can reconcile across your iPhone and Apple Watch. Apple provides and controls iCloud and CloudKit. We do not operate a separate game-data server or use these records for advertising, analytics, or tracking.
Game Center
If you use the Global Scores features, Apple's Game Center may process your Game Center player identity and leaderboard scores. Apple provides and controls that service. Its handling of information is governed by Apple's privacy policy and your Game Center settings.
Children's privacy
Break Even does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other players. Game Center availability and account controls are managed by Apple and the device owner.
Changes to this policy
If Break Even's data practices change, this page will be updated before the new practice is introduced in a released version.
